I’m Ellie – a freelance graphic designer with a love for thoughtful design and meaningful collaboration.
With a background in senior design roles across the fashion, lifestyle, and travel industries, I now work independently with clients on a diverse range of creative projects. This experience has given me a strong foundation in strategic, high-impact design – and a deep understanding of what it takes to bring a brand to life across multiple platforms.
Freelancing allows me to stay creatively inspired and bring a fresh, global perspective to every project—whether I’m working from a quiet coastal town in Dorset or a sunlit cafe in Portugal.
My story
Design has always been more than just a job for me — it’s something I’ve felt drawn to since I was young. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of turning that passion into a career, working with some of the most inspiring brands in fashion, lifestyle, and travel.
For most of my career, I’ve worked in-house, leading creative direction and building brand identities that not only look good but tell a story. I’ve been the Lead Creative at Next and Hush, and later took on the role of Lead Designer at luxury travel company Veeve. Each role sharpened my eye, challenged my creativity, and gave me a deep understanding of how great design can elevate a brand.
Today, I work as a freelancer — a decision I made to bring more balance into my life and keep my creative spark thriving. I now collaborate with a range of incredible clients, from high-end fashion houses to boutique startups, bringing their vision to life through thoughtful, strategic design.
Phi Collective
Phi (pronounced “fee”) is inspired by the golden ratio — a timeless symbol of balance and beauty, and a reflection of how I approach design: thoughtful, intentional, and considered.
The Collective represents the talented network of creatives I collaborate with — from copywriters to photographers — trusted professionals I’ve worked with over the years to bring projects to life.
